GATEWAY AND METHOD FOR TRANSFORMING TERRESTRIAL DMB CONENTS

A method and a gateway for converting terrestrial DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) contents and a system and a method for transmitting terrestrial DMB are provided to convert the terrestrial DMB contents in consideration of construction of the terrestrial DMB contents according to a characteristic of various networks, thereby providing efficiently a terrestrial DMB service through the various networks as well as a dedicated terrestrial DMB network. An ETI(Ensemble Transport Interface) demultiplexing unit(301) divides the terrestrial DMB contents of an EIT frame format into an FIC(Fast Information Channel) and an MSC(Main Service Channel). An SDP(Session Description Protocol) packet processing unit(302) constitutes an FIC as the SDP packet. A TCP/IP(Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) constituting unit(303) constitutes the SDP packet as the TCP/IP packet. An RTP(Real-Time Transport Protocol) packet processing unit(304) constitutes the MSC as an RTP packet. An UDP/IP(User Datagram Protocol/Internet Protocol) constituting unit(305) constitutes the RTP packet as an UDP/IP packet. An IP outputting unit(306) transmits the TCP/IP packet and the UDP/IP packet to an IP network.
