<p>A method and system (1) for retreading a tire (2), whereby the worn tread is removed from the tire (2); a green-rubber cushion (8) is wound about a carcass (6) of the tire (2); a tread strip (9) is wound about the carcass (6) and on top of the green-rubber cushion (8); and the carcass (6), complete with the green-rubber cushion (8) and the tread strip (9), is cured; prior to winding the green-rubber cushion (8) about the carcass (6), the lateral surface (7) of the carcass (6) is heated.</p> |
