An emergency message service system and method are provided to effectively transfer emergency contents to a subscriber via a person around the subscriber when the subscriber is not contacted by utilizing a location tracking function of a mobile terminal and an address list of the subscriber. A location information server(180) provides location information of an emergency SMS service subscriber terminal and mobile terminals having phone numbers included in an address list of the emergency SMS service subscriber. An address list management server(190) manages address list information of each emergency SMS service subscriber. When emergency SMS service request information including a particular emergency SMS service subscriber terminal number, emergency contents and a service requester terminal number is received, an emergency SMS service server(200) obtains location information of the subscriber terminal and location information of a person who is close to the subscriber included in an address list of the subscriber, and transmits an emergency SMS including the emergency message contents and information on the subscriber who will receive the message to the terminal of the person close to the subscriber. |
