A method and a system for transmitting multimedia contents received from a terminal to a messenger client are provided to allow a user of a messenger service to talk with the other party while watching a photograph of a person or video, and satisfying the desire of managing personal records with respect to digital contents. A messenger server(130) activates messenger conversations between messenger clients, receives a terminal multimedia contents request signal from a messenger client and transmits it to a terminal multimedia storage server(120). A terminal(100) includes a multimedia transmission VM(Virtual Machine) and drives the VM to transmit terminal multimedia contents data to the terminal multimedia storage server(120). The terminal multimedia storage server(120) receives and manages the terminal multimedia contents data, and receives the terminal multimedia contents request signal from the messenger server(130) and transmits multimedia contents to the messenger client. |
