A method for producing a laminate comprising a liquid crystal polyester layer is provided to realize improved bending, wrinkle and shrinking characteristics, and to obtain a laminate applicable to a flexible printed circuit board. A method for producing a laminate(10) comprising a liquid crystal polyester layer and a metal foil layer comprises the steps of: forming a liquid crystal polyester-containing resin layer(3) on one surface of a metal foil layer(2); winding the resin layer having the metal foil layer onto a roll in such a manner that the resin layer faces to the exterior; and heat-treating the roll. The heat-treating step is carried out at 200-350 deg.C.
