An asset management system, a method thereof, and a bar code label are provided to perform asset management by coding behaviors of workers and matching the coded behaviors with facility identification codes and position identification codes as well as updates position information of the facility asset by matching the facility identification codes with the position identification codes. An asset management system comprises a wireless terminal(100), a bar code management server(300) and an asset management server(400). The wireless terminal receives each bar code on facility information and current position information from bar code labels adhered to facility asset, and transmits the received bar code with a task code, matched with a task instruction inputted via a user interface, to the bar code management server over a wireless communication network. The bar code management server deciphers the received bard code, extracts a facility identification code and its current position identification code from the bar code, and transmits the extracted information with the task code to the asset management server over an internal network. The asset management server performs asset history management including the facility position information and the task history information on the basis of the facility identification code, the position identification code and the task code.
