Disclosed is an excellent composition for charge-transporting films which enables to obtain an organic electroluminescent device with excellent heat resistance and high hole injecting/transporting ability which can be driven at a low voltage. The composition for charge-transporting films contains at least an ion compound represented by the general formula (1) below or the like and a charge-transporting compound. (In the general formula (1), R11 represents an organic group bonded to a carbon atom of A1; R 12 represents an arbitrary group; R11 and R12 may combine together to form a ring; A1 represents an element of the third or higher row in group 17 of the long form periodic table; Z 1n1- represents a counter-anion; and n1 represents the ionic valency of the counter-anion.
