摘要 An apparatus and a method for measuring a distance using structured light are provided to precisely find a peak point since a position of maximum pixel value, and positions of two boundary values can be easily found. An apparatus for measuring a distance using structured light includes a binarizing unit(130), an image separating unit(140), a length ratio calculating unit(150), a pixel average calculating unit(160), and an image extracting unit(170). The binarizing unit binarizes an image. The image separating unit separates an image having pixels connected to each other from the binarized image. The length ratio calculating unit calculates a ratio between a main axis of the image having the pixels connected to each other and a longitudinal axis perpendicular to the main axis. The pixel average calculating unit calculates an average of pixel values of the image having the connected pixels. The image extracting unit extracts an image projected from a light source from images having the connected pixels by using the length ratio and the average of the pixel values.
