A watermarking method, a watermarking validation method, a watermarking device and a watermark validation device are provided to detect a location, where counterfeit is generated, in a video frame without increasing an operation amount. In a watermarking method for inserting a watermark in a digital video file, the method comprises the following steps of; generating an entire watermark for a video frame by using a secret key; forming partitioned frames by partitioning a video frame of the digital video file so as to have at least one width row and at least one height row; generating a unit watermark by performing a predetermined watermark generation algorithm with respect to pixel data configuring each of the partitioned frames; and combining each unit watermark with the digital video file. A watermarking generation device includes a frame division unit(102), a unit watermark creation unit(103), a whole watermark creation unit(101), a watermark file combining unit(104), a watermark key creation unit(105) and a key encryption unit(106).
