A method for switching a broadcasting network in a satellite broadcasting system for vehicles is provided to supply broadcasting signals immediately through a wireless access network when entering a fringe area such as the downtown area or skyscraper, thereby implementing a seamless broadcasting service with superior quality. If a satellite broadcasting reception request is received from a user, intensity of a transmission signal of a satellite broadcasting network and intensity of a transmission signal of a wireless access network are respectively detected(S302,S304). If the intensity of the transmission signal of the satellite broadcasting network is bigger than the intensity of the transmission signal of the wireless access network, a set top box is connected to the satellite broadcasting network to receive a broadcasting signal(S306,S312). If not so, the set top box is connected to the wireless access network to receive the broadcasting signal(S308).
