<p>A method for diagnosing a communication error of a multi-air conditioner system is provided to transfer master right of an outdoor unit to an indoor unit when communication errors are generated at the outdoor unit and a random indoor unit at the same time, to find out the random indoor unit having the communication error promptly. If general communication of a system air conditioner is started to check a communication state of the system air conditioner, it is judged whether a communication error is generated at an outdoor unit which is a communication master(S100-S102). If so, the communication error is displayed through a display part of the outdoor unit and display parts of all indoor units(S104). A microcomputer of the corresponding indoor unit judges whether a master set signal is inputted(S106). If so, a communication method of the corresponding indoor unit is forced to be set as a master(S108). The corresponding indoor unit set as the master starts communication tracking(S110). It is judged whether a communication error is generated(S112). If so, the communication error is displayed solely at the display part of the indoor unit where the communication error is generated, to find out the indoor unit where the communication error is generated(S114). If not, the communication error is displayed solely at the display part of the outdoor unit to repair the communication error of the outdoor unit(s116). If the communication error is not generated, the outdoor unit operates the system air conditioner normally(S118).</p> |
