A method for imaging a display panel and an apparatus for imaging the display panel are provided to image each pixel of the display panel by plural imaging devices in obtaining an imaged picture and set up the position and size of each synthesis unit area in random within a predetermined range in creating a reduced picture, thereby obtaining an image with high resolution and reduced moire. A method for imaging a display panel comprises the following steps of: obtaining an imaged picture by imaging the display panel(S1); and creating a reduced picture by synthesizing plural pixels continuously arranged in the imaged picture to form a pixel(S2). Each pixel of the display panel is imaged by each of plural imaging devices. Each of positions and sizes of a region where the plural pixels are arranged in the imaged picture is set up in random within a predetermined range.
