A remote controller reception module and a fabrication method thereof are provided to form metal deposition layers in mold material, lead terminal, or lead-out parts at the same time, so as to omit a plating process executed to prevent erosion of the lead terminal, therefore miniaturization of the remote controller reception module is available. A light receiving chip(11) and a driving IC(Integrated Circuit)(12) for processing a signal are equipped on a lead frame(10). A mold material(13) is formed to surround parts of the light receiving chip(11), the driving IC(12), and the lead frame(10) to protect the lead frame(10), the light receiving chip(11), and the driving IC(12). A light receiving lens is formed on an upper end of the light receiving chip(11), in order that the mold material(13) is capable of more easily inputting an inputted signal. An unmolded part of the lead frame(10) forms a lead terminal(16) connected with an external circuit.
