An apparatus for preventing submergence of a ship is provided to prevent a plying ship from being submerged due to an external impact or weather condition such as a typhoon or a surge. An apparatus for preventing submergence of a ship includes at least one airbag(4), a wire(8), a sensing unit(6), and a power supply unit(22). The airbag is installed in both side wall surfaces of a ship body, an inner side surface, a prow, a stern or all. The wire transmits a signal to control an operation of the airbag with being connected to one side of the airbag. The sensing unit generates buoyancy by filling gas in the airbag by supplying the airbag with an operation signal automatically upon submergence of the ship. The power supply unit supplies current to the wire, the sensing unit, and the airbag.
