A method for watching broadcasting of a mobile communication terminal by using animation data and a mobile communication terminal performing the same are provided to enable a user to watch various kinds of sports games in a real time animation video form, so that the user can watch the video with realism in comparison with a simple text relay. A broadcasting watching method using animation data comprises the following steps of: accessing and being registered in an external server(100); selecting a specific broadcasting menu from a broadcasting list(S510); forming a session corresponding to the selected specific broadcasting menu(S570); and receiving animation data corresponding to the specific broadcasting menu from the external server, and displaying the received animation data(S580).
