摘要 An optical information storage medium and a method of reproducing/recording information from/onto the same are provided to eliminate problems occurring in reproducing data continuously by providing a transition area to at least one area among a plurality of area of the storage medium. An optical information storage medium comprises a BCA(Burst Cutting Area,10), a lead-in area(20), a user data area, a lead-out area, and first, second, and third transition areas(15). The three transition areas are formed between the BCA and the lead-in area, between the user data area and the lead-in area, and between the user data area and the lead-out area, respectively. Pits, formed in the BCA, the lead-in area, and the first transition area, are each straight patterns or wobbling patterns. Pits, formed in the lead-in area, the user data area, and the second transition area, are straight or wobbling patterns. If the pattern of the pit formed in the first and the second transition areas is a wobbling pattern, amplitude of wobbling pattern increases or decreases gradually.
