An array substrate for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel and a manufacturing method are provided to enable a gate wing part protruded to the pixel area of an adjacent pixel from a gate line to be electrically connected to the gate line in order to block light, thereby preventing the deterioration of image quality by preventing the light leakage. An array substrate for an LCD panel comprises a gate line(13), a TFT(Thin Film Transistor)(T), a protection layer(28), and a pixel electrodes(17). The gate line has a gate electrode(18) connected to a substrate(22) and has a wing part(20) protruded to an adjacent pixel area. The TFT includes a semiconductor layer(23a) formed on the gate electrode, and a source electrode(24) and a drain electrode(26) connected to a data line. The protection layer is formed to expose part of the drain electrode. The pixel electrode is formed on the protection layer to connect electrically with the drain electrode. |
