An apparatus for loading and unloading a substrate, and a method of manufacturing an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device by using the same are provided to load the substrate on a stage without movement by an combination of a substrate support unit and substrate fixing pins without using an absorbing hole, thereby preventing the generation of static electricity on the substrate. An apparatus for loading and unloading a substrate comprises a stage(700), a substrate support unit(730), and a pair of substrate fixing pins(760). The substrate support unit is formed on the stage. The pair of substrate fixing pins is formed on the substrate support unit. The substrate support unit is fixed on the stage. The substrate fixing pins moves to the upper part of the substrate support unit to fix the substrate and moves to the lower part of the substrate support unit to release the substrate. |
