<p>A preparation method of a quasi-crystal carbon layer coated carbon nanotube/carbon nanofiber and a quasi-crystal carbon layer coated carbon nanotube/carbon nanofiber prepared by the same are provided to improve substantially surface functionalization of the carbon nanotube by coating an outer surface layer of a conventional carbon nanotube with an amorphous carbon layer. A preparation method of a carbon nanotube coated with a quasi-crystal carbon layer comprises the processes of: synthesizing a carbon nanotube required for coating an amorphous carbon layer on a surface of the carbon nanotube; coating the amorphous carbon layer on the surface of the carbon nanotube; and shaping the carbon layer on the surface of the carbon nanotube using heat of a high temperature. A carbon nanotube is characterized in that the carbon nanotube has a graphite crystal layer formed therein and a quasi-crystallized carbon layer coated on a surface thereof as a nanofiber consisted of carbons having a hollow space. The carbon nanotube is coated with a carbon layer having a crystal phase in which a burning temperature difference between the quasi-crystallized carbon layer and the graphite crystal layer is within 100 deg.C.</p> |
