SYSTEM AND METHOD RELAYING A FRAME IN A WIRELESS LOCAL AREA NETWORK

A system for relaying a frame in a wireless LAN(Local Area Network) and a method thereof are provided to relay and transmit messages through the third station having a good communication environment if communication has to be performed at low speed owing to a bad communication environment between an AP(Access Point) and a station, thereby increasing data transmission efficiency. The first subscriber station(501) selects another subscriber station as a self relay subscriber station among plural subscriber stations(502-504), and transceives a data frame with an AP(500) through the relay subscriber station. The relay subscriber station receives the data frame when the data frame is transceived between the first subscriber station(501) and the AP(500), and relays/transmits the received frame to the AP(500) or the first subscriber station(501). The AP(500) transceives the data frame via the relay subscriber station when transceiving the data frame with the first subscriber station(501).
