An apparatus and a system for steering an optical beam are provided to steer the optical beam along a number of optical beam paths. An apparatus for steering an optical beam comprises a base assembly(110), a first reflection surface(120) and a second reflection surface(122). The first reflection surface is set at a first angle for an optical axis of an incident beam, and directs the optical beam along a first optical path. The second reflection surface is set at a second angle different from the first angle for the optical axis of the incident beam, and directs the optical beam along a second optical path. The first and the second reflection surface move in a linear method along a common axis, and the base assembly relocates the first and the second reflection surface along the common axis to make the incident beam be incident on one or another image.
