A lamp apparatus with a pest repeller is provided to extend a lifetime of the lamp by effectively intercepting pests from entering into the inside of the lamp apparatus by the use of the pest repeller which can generate electromagnetic fields and ultrasonic waves. A lamp apparatus(10) with a pest repeller(20) comprises a rectification smoothing unit, a counter IC, a triac, a photo coupler, a transformer, an inverter IC, an oscillating unit, and an ultrasonic wave generator. The rectification smoothing unit rectifies alternating current power and converts the rectified alternating current power into direct current power. The counter IC outputs a pulse signal having a predetermined frequency band by the direct current power supplied from the rectification smoothing unit. The triac performs a switching operation according to the pulse signal transmitted from the counter IC. The photo coupler controls the alternating current power according to the switching operation of the triac. The transformer generates variable electromagnetic fields according to the alternating current power controlled by the photo coupler. |
