A system and a method for electronic ticket in HIGHPASS based on wireless internet are provided to collect tickets of the HIGHPASS by using the electronic ticket without decreasing the speed of a vehicle. According to a method for electronic ticket in HIGHPASS based on wireless internet, subscriber key information for electronic ticket authentication and vehicle information are transmitted through wireless internet, and electronic ticket service entry standby mode starts by checking electronic ticket user authentication from a wireless internet server. The entry to the electronic ticket service region is guided to a user. Electronic ticket request information is transmitted to an electronic ticket server. The result of issuing the requested electronic ticket is informed. Electronic ticket service entry is checked to the user. Payment result for the electronic ticket toll of the issued electronic ticket is informed to the user through a wireless base station of an exit toll gate of the HIGHPASS.
