CEMENT BURNING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF DRYING HIGHLY HYDROUS ORGANIC WASTE

[PROBLEMS] To provide a cement burning apparatus, and method of drying a highly hydrous organic waste, with which the danger of explosion of drying equipment can be lowered and devaluation of dry sludge as a fuel can be avoided, and with which highly hydrous organic wastes can be dried with increased efficiency. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] There is provided cement burning apparatus (1) including dryer unit (6) into which combustion gas extracted from the exit part or ceiling part of preheater cyclones (3A-3D) of cement kiln (2) is fed to thereby dry highly hydrous organic waste (W) of 40 mass% or more water content. As the dryer unit (6), use can be made of a crushing air stream dryer in which combustion gas (G) is brought into direct contact with the highly hydrous organic waste (W) so as to dry while crushing the highly hydrous organic waste (W). Further, the cement burning apparatus is equipped with crude powder separator (12) for separating dust from the combustion gas extracted from the relevant region. The combustion gas (G) having dust separated by means of the crude powder separator (12) is fed into the dryer unit (6), and the dust content of the gas fed into the dryer unit (6) is regulated so as to range from 0.05 to 0.35 kg/Nm³.
