AN ENTERIC-COATING COMPOSITION, AN ENTERIC-COATED TABLET AND A METHOD OF PREPARING THE TABLET

An enteric-coating composition for food, an enteric-coated tablet using the composition, and a preparation method of the tablet are provided to enhance the enteric solubility of a health supplement such as glucosamine and prevent gastroenteric trouble. An enteric-coating composition for food comprises shellac and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose in a weight ratio of 1:0.6. An enteric-coated tablet comprises the enteric-coating composition and a health supplement selected from the group consisting of glucosamine, its derivatives, lactic acid bacteria and beta-galactosidase, wherein the glucosamine or its derivatives are pharmaceutically accepted salts of glucosamine or its derivatives. The enteric-coated tablet is prepared by forming a tablet with the health supplement; and coating the tablet with the enteric-coating composition containing shellac and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.
