METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DISPLAYING THE INFORMATION OF RESIDENTIAL APPARATUS USING HOME-GATEWAY AND SETTOP-BOX

An information display method of a home device by using a set top box and a home gateway and a system thereof are provided to convert home device state information stored in the home gateway into TV screen-type information to display the converted information on a TV connected to the set top box, even without comprising a display on a home device, so that a user can recognize a home device operation state. A home gateway(10) transceives state information on various home devices(41-43) installed in a house with a remote home management server(60), and requests a TV screen generation server(50) to convert home device state information into TV screen data to receive the converted data. A set top box(20) displays the TV screen data-type home device state information on a TV(30) previously connected with the set top box(20).
