PHOTOCHROMIC FILM, PHOTOCHROMIC LENS HAVING THE SAME, AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING PHOTOCHROMIC LENS

A photochromic film comprising a photochromic dye and a resin ingredient. At least one side (A) of the photochromic film has an ultrafine-indentation hardness of 800 nm or more. Also provided is a process for producing a photochromic lens. The process for photochromic lens production includes applying a photochromic liquid comprising a photochromic dye and a curable ingredient to one side of a first mold for forming one side of a lens and subjecting the photochromic liquid to a curing treatment to thereby form a photochromic film in which the outermost surface has an ultrafine-indentation hardness of 500-5,000 nm and the ultrafine-indentation hardness of the side facing the first mold is less than that of the outermost surface. This first mold is used to obtain a photochromic lens comprising a lens base and the photochromic film disposed thereon.
