<p>A SIM(Subscriber Identify Module) card and a method of recognizing the SIM card are provided to allow a terminal to recognize a SIM card inserted into the terminal irrespective of an inserting direction to prevent the terminal from a wrong operation. A SIM card(30) is electrically connected with a SIM card connector set in a predetermined place of a terminal and includes a first contact pad group and a second contact pad group. The first contact pad group includes a plurality of contact pads(32a,32b,32c,32d,33a,33b) which is formed at one side of the SIM card and used for the SIM card to be connected with the connector when the SIM card is inserted into the terminal in a normal direction. The second contact pad group includes a plurality of contact pads(34a,34b,34c,34d,33a,33b) which is formed at the other side of the SIM card and used for the SIM card to be connected with the connector when the SIM card is inserted into the terminal in a reverse direction.</p> |
