A design verification apparatus, a design verification method and a CAD(Computer Aided Design) system are provided to reduce a DRC processing time remarkably and set the logic type of a component automatically so as to decrease a time required for a designer to input the logic type of the component manually. A design rule checking apparatus includes a DRC(Design Rule Check) data generator(15), a DRC database(16) and a DRC execution unit(14). The DRC data generator detects a second component connected to a first component in a circuit diagram on the basis of circuit data information, determines whether the second component is a logic transmission component having an input and an output which have the same logic value and detects a component connected to the second component when the second component is the logic transmission component to generate data of a logic transmission net and adds the data of the logic transmission net to circuit data to generate DRC data. The DRC database stores the DRC data. The DRC execution unit finds components connected to the logic transmission net using the DRC data stored in the DRC database to execute DRC.
