A converter and a method for converting current into voltage are provided to output stable signals by preventing the distortion of pulse width due to a delayed time between the rising and falling of input signals. A converter for converting current into voltage includes first and second voltage sources(20,40), a reference voltage source(30), and first and second comparing units(50,60). The first voltage source generates a first voltage according to input currents. The reference voltage source outputs a first reference voltage higher than the first voltage. The second voltage source generates a second voltage, which is lower than the first voltage, delayed according to the variation of the first voltage. The first comparing unit compares the first reference and second voltages, and selects one of the first reference and second voltages. The second comparing unit compares the second reference and first voltages.
