LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD DRIVING FOR THE SAME

An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device and a driving method thereof are provided to enhance image quality by driving a liquid crystal panel using a vertical 3-dot inversion scheme. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes a liquid crystal panel(102) and gate and data drivers(104,106). The liquid crystal panel includes pixel areas having sub-pixels in a vertical direction. The gate driver drives sequentially the gate lines of the liquid crystal panel. The data driver inverts the polarity of data voltage, which is supplied to the data lines of the liquid crystal panel, per three gate lines. The liquid crystal panel is driven by a vertical 3-dot inversion scheme.
