A spreader (1) for high-riding shinbone surgery which is to be inserted into a notch formed in a deformed thighbone or shinbone of a patient suffering from osteoarthritis of the knee and enlarges the notch so as to provide a space allowing the insertion of graft, thereby facilitating the insertion of the graft while keeping the notch in the enlarged state, wherein the spreader (1) for high-riding shinbone surgery has two pairs of swinging members (2a, 2b, 3a, 3b) relatively swingably attached to hinges (6, 7) provided at the front edge and two switching systems (4, 5) for opening/closing these two pairs of swinging members (2a, 2b, 3a, 3b) respectively around the axes of the hinges (6, 7) and the two pairs of swinging members (2a, 2b, 3a, 3b) are detachably combined along the axis directions of the hinges (6, 7).
