A reflective polarizing plate and an LCD device having the same are provided to supply light to a liquid crystal layer by reflecting the light, reflected from the polarizing plate, to the polarizing plate again in a diffusion plate by using the reflective polarizing plate, thereby minimizing a loss of light and preventing brightness deterioration. A reflective polarizing plate comprises a polarizing plate(216) and a spotlight plate(217) with a lens shape. The polarizing plate transmits light in a polarizing direction parallel with a polarizing axis and reflects light in a different polarizing direction. The spotlight plate with the lens shape is integrally formed on the upper part of the polarizing plate to concentrate light polarized by the polarizing plate. A reflection portion(218) is formed in a lens-shaped boundary(B) between the polarizing plate and the spotlight plate to reflect light inputted at an angle more than a threshold angle. |
