A charging system for an unmanned guided vehicle and a charging method thereof are provided to extend a lifetime of a battery by automatically charging the battery when the battery is discharged below a predetermined level. A charging system for an unmanned guided vehicle includes an unmanned guided vehicle(150) and a charging coupler(140). The automatic guided vehicle is moved by a charged battery. The charging coupler is arranged on an upper portion of the unmanned guided vehicle with a predetermined distance. The charging coupler is arranged to move along the same moving path as the unmanned guided vehicle. The charging coupler charges the battery.
