A liquid crystal display has upper and lower substrates conjoined by a liquid crystal layer. The upper and lower substrate outer surfaces each have a polarization plate coat. The upper polarization plate has a beam guide film, whose side in contact with the polarization plate bears a raster of numerous convex lenses.
