An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to form an electric field between a common electrode and a pixel electrode at the other ends of the pixel electrodes and form no electric field in a different direction by spacing the other ends of the pixel electrode from each other, so that movement of LC can be clear at the other end of the pixel electrode. Gate lines and data lines cross each other on a substrate and define a pixel area. A plat type common electrode(102) is disposed in the pixel area. Plural pixel electrodes(134) are disposed in the pixel area. Ends of one side of the pixel electrodes are separated from each other. A connecting unit connects the other ends of the pixel electrodes into one. A TFT(Thin Film Transistor) is connected with the gate lines and the data lines, and connected with the pixel electrode through the connecting unit. |
