A single string type snow chain is provided to enable a worker to easily manage the snow chain when assembling or disassembling the snow chain to or from a tire tread of a vehicle. A single string type snow chain comprises a wire(110), a plurality of spikes(120), a spring(130) inserted between the spikes, a first stopper(141) provided at one end of the wire, a second stopper(142) provided at the other end of the stopper, a fastening member(150) having first and second bodies, and a locking member allowing the first body to be locked in or released from the second body. The first stopper is restricted within an internal space of the first body through a first hole formed at one side of the first body. The second stopper is restricted within the internal space of the first body through an elongated hole formed in the second body.
