A substrate supporting system for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and an operating method thereof are provided to change automatically and freely arrangement of glass supporting pins supporting glasses within a vacuum dry device, thereby preventing generation of errors and improving quality. A substrate supporting system for an LCD comprises a plate(210), supporting pins(211) and an electromagnet(215). On the plate, a glass is disposed. The supporting pin is formed on the plate. The electromagnet moves the supporting pin. The supporting pin includes magnetic material. The system further comprises a controller for applying an electric signal to the electromagnet. |
