An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to discharge video signals, charged in an LC capacitor, by turning on TFTs(Thin Film Transistors) of an LC panel for a certain time even when a system is turned off, thereby removing afterimages which are displayed on the LC panel for a certain period without being removed during the turn-off of the system. In an LC(Liquid Crystal) panel(10), plural TFTs(T) installed in an intersection where gate lines and data lines are crossed in a matrix form are formed. A gate driving circuit(15) turns on/off the TFT through the gate line. A power supply unit(18) supplies driving power to the gate driving circuit. A discharge unit(16) is installed between the power supply unit and the gate driving circuit. If the driving power is in a low state, the discharge unit turns on/off the TFT to the gate driving circuit. |
