METHOD OF TRANSMITTING ETHERNET FRAME IN A NETWORK BRIDGE AND THE BRIDGE APPARATUS

A method for delivering an Ethernet frame in a network bridge and a bridge device are provided to perform a CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check) process selectively for overall frames while ensuring data accuracy of an Ethernet frame header through a header CRC process using a header CRC and a header CRC flag included in an Ethernet frame, thereby satisfying requirements for low-level time delay. A frame header is received from an ingress node connected to a network bridge(S310). A header CRC and a header CRC flag for the frame header are received from the ingress node(S320). Forwarding of an Ethernet frame including the frame header is determined by referring to the header CRC and the header CRC flag(S330). The Ethernet frame is forwarded to an egress node connected to the network bridge from the ingress node according to the determination(S340).
