METHOD FOR SELECTIVE RECOVERY MECHANISM AND IMPLEMENTATION CONSIDERING THE SIZE OF SPATIAL DATA

A method of recording a transaction log in consideration of the size of spatial data and a method of withdrawing a transaction are provided to support recovery of spatial data using a logging method depending on the size of the spatial data and reduce the quantity of logs stored in a log buffer using an APR(Anchored Physical log Record) to improve disk efficiency. It is determined whether a log type of spatial data is APR(S100). When the log type of the spatial data is APR, an available page is allocated to the spatial data, and data before/after the spatial data is updated is recorded(S130,S140). An APR type log record having the PID(Page IDentifier) of the available page is generated(S150). The generated APR type log record is recorded(S160).
