A light guide panel for a display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase the luminance of the light without increasing the cost, by forming dotted patterns having a V-shaped section, on a substrate. A light guide panel used to irradiate the uniform light on the front surface of a light receiving type display device is composed of a transparent substrate(100) and patterns(110) engraved on the surface of the substrate in a dot type and provided with a V-shaped section. The distance between the dotted patterns is below 0.3mm. The thickness of the substrate is below 0.8mm. The surface shape of the pattern is selected from a group comprising a square, a lozenge, and a circle.
