Disclosed is a novel aromatic amine derivative which a p-terphenyl-4,4''-diyl derivative (one of diamine compounds). Also disclosed is an organic electroluminescence device comprising: a cathode; an anode; and a mono-layered or multi-layered organic thin film layer comprising at least an emission layer and sandwiched between the cathode and the anode, wherein at least one layer in the organic thin film layer contains the aromatic amine derivative as it is or as one component of a mixture. It becomes possible to provide an organic electroluminescence derive which hardly caused the crystallization of a molecule therein, which can be produced in an improved yield, which has a long service life, and which shows a high efficiency even after being stored at a high temperature, and also provide an aromatic amine derivative which can provide the organic electroluminescence derive.
