A speaker is provided to implement a high sound quality and high power by increasing an effective area of a vibration plate and constraining an intrinsic vibration mode. A speaker includes a base frame(700), a fixing unit(500), a moving unit(400), a vibration plate(202), and an area expansion unit(200). The fixing unit is coupled to a predetermined position of the base frame. The moving unit is moved from the fixing unit by an electromagnetic force. The vibration plate is vibrated to be coupled with the moving unit. The area expansion unit is formed on the vibration plate to expand an effective area of the vibration plate. The area expansion unit is at least one combination of a recess unit and a protrusion unit. The moving unit and the vibration plate has a track shape. A coupling unit having a corresponding shape to the moving unit is formed on a bottom plane of the vibration plate. The coupling unit is coupled to the moving unit.
