Generating and displaying spatially offset sub-frames

A method of displaying an image with a display device includes receiving image data for the image. A first plurality of sub-frames corresponding to the image data is generated based on a first plurality of spatially offset sub-frame positions. A second plurality of sub-frames is generated based on the first plurality of sub-frames and based on a second plurality of spatially offset sub-frame positions. The second plurality of sub-frames is displayed at the second plurality of spatially offset sub-frame positions.
