The meter has a motion blur pointer image displayed when a pointer rotation speed is same or greater than a preset value. A normal pointer image is displayed when the pointer rotation speed is less than the preset value. Pointer images are displayed in abutment with a leading part of the motion blur pointer image in a direction when the motion blur pointer image is switched to the normal pointer image. The motion blur pointer image and the normal pointer image are arranged consecutively with each other due to the intervening pointer images when the motion blur pointer image is switched.
