A cosmetic composition comprising the extract of Prunella vulgaris is provided to maintain and increase elasticity of the skin by promoting biosynthesis of elastin and inhibiting synthesis of elastase, and improve inhibition of oxidation, so that it is useful for improving skin wrinkles. A cosmetic composition for improving skin wrinkles comprises 0.005-50 wt.% of the extract of Prunella vulgaris which is prepared by extracting Prunella vulgaris with a polar solvent selected from water, C1-C4 lower alcohol and a mixed solvent thereof, and has a formulation selected from skin lotion, skin softener, skin toner, astringent, lotion, milk lotion, moisture lotion, nutrition lotion, massage cream, nutrition cream, moisture cream, hand cream, essence, nutrition essence, pack, soap, shampoo, cleansing foam, cleansing lotion, cleansing cream, body lotion, body cleanser, emulsion, press powder, loose powder and eye shadow.
