摘要 <p>A display capable of bright display by both reflection display and transmission display without providing a multi-gap structure and exhibiting a reduced difference in response time between the reflection and transmission regions. The display comprises a pair of substrates and a display medium held between the substrates.In each pixel, a reflection region for reflection display and a transmission region for transmission display are formed. Pixel electrodes and common electrodes are provided on one substrate, and a voltage is applied to the display medium by using the pixel and common electrodes. Each pixel electrode has a slit, and the width of the slit in the transmission region is larger than that in the reflection region.</p>
