A method for manufacturing a transparent conductive electrode using carbon nanotube films having metal particles on the surface is provided to improve visible ray transmittance and electric conductivity properties of the electrode. A method for manufacturing a transparent conductive electrode includes the steps of: dispersing purified carbon nanotube (CNT) into a surfactant aqueous solution; spraying or transferring the CNT dispersion onto a substrate to form a CNT film on the surface of the substrate; and impregnating the CNT film into a cosolvent of water and alcohol to form metal nanoparticles on the CNT surface. The surfactant is selected from the group consisting of SDS, LDS, SDBS, SDSA, DTAB, CTAB, PVP, and triblock copolymers of polyethylene oxide-polybutylene oxide-polyethylene oxide and polyethylene oxide-polyphenyle oxide-polyethylene oxide. |
