A CID(Caller ID) conversion method for an outgoing call through a PBX(Private Branch Exchange) is provided to obtain basic information for CID configuration from a DOD(Direct Outward Dialing) local telephone number and combine the obtained CID conversion information with an extension number so as to transmit a receivable CID to a receiver. A DOD local telephone number, a receiver number, and an extension number commonly used by a PBX are received from a sender side(202-210). Basic information(CID conversion information) for CID configuration is obtained from the received DOD local telephone number(211). The obtained CID conversion information and the received extension number are combined and transmitted to a receiver side(212-214). |
